VEIN is an open-world zombie survival game from JALI Games set in a sprawling post-apocalyptic landscape. Players scavenge for weapons, build bases with utility cabinets for area protection, drive vehicles, craft equipment, and fight zombies that come in walker, crawler, and runner variants. The game features PvP raiding, horde events triggered by noise and scent, a full day/night cycle, VOIP, and survival mechanics including infection, consciousness, and permadeath options.
Running a dedicated VEIN server gives you control over well over 100 gameplay settings through the Engine.ini configuration file. You can tune zombie behavior including spawn rates, health, damage, speed, hearing, and sight. Vehicle physics, base damage, PvP, offline raid protection, loot scarcity, horde frequency, container respawns, time multipliers, and permadeath are all configurable. The in-game admin menu provides a subset of these settings for quick changes, while Engine.ini gives you total control.
