How to Create a Map Cycle on Your CS 1.6 Server

Creating custom map cycles is an important step of customizing your CS 1.6 server. This guide will show you how to create your own map rotation.

Editing mapcycle.txt

The mapcycle file isn't created by default. Follow these easy steps to begin configuring a map rotation:

    Log in to Bropanel and Stop your server.
  2. 2
    In the sidebar, go to Files and enter cstrike.
  3. 3
    Add your desired maps to mapcycle.txt, then click save.
  4. 4
    Start your server.

The maps that get added to this file are found in /cstrike/maps/.
