How to Connect Nintendo Switch (Switch/Switch 2) Players to Your Minecraft Bedrock Server

By default, Nintendo Switch players can only connect to official servers in Minecraft Bedrock. However, you can change your Switch's DNS settings to allow connection to third party servers like your Minecraft Bedrock server using BedrockConnect.

Changing DNS Settings on Nintendo Switch

  1. 1
From the home screen, select System Settings
  2. 2
Navigate to Internet → Internet Settings
  3. 3
Select your current connection and choose Change Settings
  4. 4
Select DNS Settings and change to Manual
  5. 5
    Enter these DNS addresses:
    • Primary DNS: 104.238.130.180
    • Secondary DNS: 8.8.8.8
  6. 6
Save your settings and restart your console

Connecting to Your Server

  1. 1
Log in to Bropanel and select your Minecraft server.
  2. 2
Copy your server IP address from the Overview page.
  3. 3
    Open Minecraft and click Play.
  4. 4
Navigate to Servers and select any available server.
  5. 5
    Click Connect to a Server.
  6. 6
Enter your server's IP address and port.
  7. 7
    Click Connect.

Example: If your server IP is 198.137.23.46:7781, the menu should look like this:

Server Address: 198.137.23.46
Port: 7781

Alternative DNS Servers
