Troubleshooting Your The Isle Evrima Server

Here are common The Isle Evrima server issues and how to fix them.

Data Acquisition Failed

Mostly appearing since the December 2025 Evrima update, this error comes down to how The Isle Evrima handles its server browser. Instead of talking to EOS (Epic Online Services) directly, Evrima uses a custom API that sits in between the game and EOS. Because of how these are implemented together, you may sometimes see this error even when your server is successfully registered with EOS and running fine. If you see it when trying to connect, try the following:

Firstly, double-check:

  • That no antivirus or firewall software is interfering with The Isle Evrima.
  • That your PC date and time is accurate.

Common Solutions:

  • Restart your server for a fresh listing, wait a few minutes for it to fully register with EOS before attempting to connect. Then ensure to refresh the game browser, switching from Unofficial to Official and back, or simply clicking Refresh are two methods.
  • Just keep clicking Connect. This error can be intermittent and normally resolves itself after a second, third, or even 10th attempt. No server modifications are required.
  • Restart your Game/PC/Router.
  • Wait a bit, and repeat these steps, the issue will normally resolve itself. EOS may be experiencing issues.

Server Not Appearing In The Server Browser

The Isle Evrima has no direct connect option, so multiplayer relies on EOS (Epic Online Services) for its server listing. Evrima does not query EOS directly though, it uses a custom API in between the game and EOS. When that API runs into issues, servers can be slow to appear or drop off the list even while they are online and running fine.

  • Ensure that no antivirus or firewall software is interfering with The Isle Evrima.
  • Ensure that your PC date and time is accurate.
  • Refresh the server browser, one method of doing this is by switching from Unofficial to Official and back again, or simply clicking the Refresh button.
  • Ensure you're searching for the exact server name set in Settings, and that your server name has been applied by restarting your server. Also provide ample time for the server list to download to your client before searching.
  • After restarting your server, it may take a few minutes or more for the server browser to register your server again, this is normal behavior and registration times may vary during peak times and by region.
  • Wait a bit, and repeat these steps, the issue will normally resolve itself. EOS may be experiencing issues.

Frozen Time Of Day

If the in-game time of day appears stuck, this is normally caused by non-default day/night length values in your server config. Reset them to the defaults to fix the issue.

Stop your server, open your Game.ini configuration file (see our Configure Your Server guide) and ensure Day/Night length settings have default values:

ServerDayLengthMinutes=45
ServerNightLengthMinutes=20

Save the file and start your server for the change to apply.

Game Crashes

If your game is crashing when connecting to or playing on a server, try the following:

  • Verify your game files through Steam. Right-click The Isle in your Steam library, select Properties > Installed Files > Verify integrity of game files.
  • Ensure your GPU drivers are up to date, or rollback a driver version if the issue started occurring after a particular driver update.
  • Check if other players are reporting the issue in the Official Isle Discord: https://discord.gg/survivetheisle
  • Copy and search the error code on websites such as Steam or Reddit for similar reports of the issue.
