Every Game Host Bros server includes 5 manual backup slots and 5 rotating daily automatic backups. Backups are full server backups. Every file on your server is included.

Manual backups: created by you, kept until you delete them.
Automatic backups: made daily; the oldest is replaced when a new one is created.

Note

For off-site redundancy, you can set up your own backup solution using SFTP and a service like Multcloud.

Tip

Backups are tied to the game that was running when they were created. Restoring a backup from a different game will swap your server to that game.

Creating A Backup

This is how you can create a backup of your server. This will turn the server off while a backup is happening.

Load Bropanel and select your server.

In the sidebar, go to Backups.

Click Create Backup in the top-right.

Give your backup a name and click Create Backup.

Caution

All backups are deleted once your service is canceled.

Restoring A Backup

Restoring from a backup is great if you've accidentally modified some of your configs or save files and need to change them back.

Caution

Restoring overwrites all current server files. Create a new backup first if you want to keep your current state.

Downloading a backup is a great way to store your game save on your local PC.
