How to Create a Map Cycle on Your CS:S Server

Creating custom map cycles is an important step in customizing your CS:S server. This guide will show you how to create your own map rotation.

Editing mapcycle.txt

The mapcycle file isn't created by default. Follow these easy steps to begin configuring a map rotation:

    Log in to Bropanel and Stop your server.

    In the sidebar, go to Files.
  3. 3
    Navigate to /cstrike/cfg/.
  4. 4
    Rename mapcycle_default.txt to mapcycle.txt.
  5. 5
    Add your desired maps to mapcycle.txt, then click save.

    Start your server.

The maps that get added to this file are found in /cstrike/maps/.
