How to Change the Version of Your VEIN Server

Here is how you can change your VEIN server version using Steam beta branches.

Danger

Changing server versions may cause issues with your world save, and configuration files will reset after switching versions. As this deletes everything, download a backup to your PC first if you want to keep your save.

Set Automatic Updates to disabled if you're choosing a branch that does not receive updates.

Change VEIN Server Version

    Log in to Bropanel and select your VEIN server.

    In the sidebar, go to Settings.

    Under Advanced, look for Steam Beta Branch and enter the branch name you want to use (a list of versions is below).

    Click Reinstall in the top-right.

    Select Format (keep settings), then confirm and wait for the install to finish.

Leave the field empty or set it to public for the latest stable version. You can view the full list of available VEIN beta branches on SteamDB.

Change VEIN Client Version on Steam

    Right-click VEIN on Steam and select Properties.

    Go to the Game Versions & Betas tab.

    From the dropdown menu, select the VEIN version you want to play.

    Click ok and let Steam install the required files.
