How to Change View Distance on Your Minecraft Server

This is what you do if you want to change the view distance on your Minecraft server. View distance controls how many chunks are visible to players around them.

Changing View Distance

    Log in to Bropanel and Stop your server.

    In the sidebar, go to Files.

    Open server.properties, edit view-distance= to your desired value, and then click save.

    Start your server.

Tip

The default view distance is 10, and has a minimum of 5. Higher values provide better visibility but use more server resources. Lower values improve performance.
