This is what you do if you need to install mods to your Minecraft server.
This guide should be followed after ensuring your server is running an edition and version compatible with your desired mods. Here is our changing version guide.
Installing From the Mods Browser
Danger
If you're installing mods from the Mods browser, you must set your Minecraft server version to a modded edition such as Forge, NeoForge, or Fabric. If you try and run mods on the Vanilla game, they will not work.
- 1Log in to Bropanel and select your Minecraft server.
- 2In the sidebar, go to
Mods, open theBrowsetab, and selectMods. - 3Select the mods you want to install.
- 4Restart your server.
Some mods may not work with the latest versions of the game, so we suggest checking the mod requirements before installing and making sure you're on the correct version.
Manually Installing Mods
Danger
If you're installing mods, you must set your Minecraft server version to the edition and version compatible with the mod you're installing. For example, Forge is the most popular edition for modded Minecraft. If you try and run mods on the Vanilla game, they will not work.
Furthermore, some mods are NOT compatible with dedicated servers. We always recommend installing a few mods at a time and then testing to make sure everything is working as expected.
- 1Log in to Bropanel and
Stopyour server. - 2In the sidebar, go to
Files. - 4Start your server.
If you get stuck at any time, you can reach out to a bro on Discord.
