If you want to make your server private, adding a whitelist will be the easiest way to do so. Once enabled, players must have their username added to the whitelist in order to join your Vintage Story server. This is what you do if you need to add a whitelist to your Vintage Story server.
Version 1.20+ Changes
As of version 1.20, Vintage Story servers are invite-only (whitelisted) by default and do not register themselves to the public servers list. If you want to make your server public, you can:
- Enable server advertising with
/serverconfig advertise on - Disable whitelist mode with
/serverconfig whitelistmode off
Adding Players to the Whitelist
- 1Log in to Bropanel and select your Vintage Story server.
- 2In the sidebar, go to
Console. - 3Type
/player playername whitelist on.
Removing Players from the Whitelist
- 1Log in to Bropanel and select your Vintage Story server.
- 2In the sidebar, go to
Console. - 3Type
/player playername whitelist off.
