By default, Vintage Story server (version 1.20+) are private and invite-only. If you want other players to find and join your server through the public server list, you'll need to enable server advertising.
Making Your Server Public
- 1Log in to Bropanel and select your Vintage Story server.
- 2In the sidebar, go to
Console. - 3Type
/serverconfig advertise onto enable server advertising. - 4Type
/serverconfig whitelistmode offto disable whitelist mode. - 5Restart your server.
Tip
Even with advertising enabled, it may take a few minutes for your server to appear in the public server list.
Remember that making your server public means anyone can join. If you want to control who can access your server, consider keeping whitelist mode enabled and manually whitelisting your friends and other trusted players.
