Want to change your Vintage Story server version or switch to a different release branch? This guide will walk you through the process on your Vintage Story server.

This is how you can play older versions, or play-test upcoming releases.

Danger

Features from experimental pre-release versions are not expected to be supported on shared hosting as this is only a testing ground for the game developers. As this deletes your server files, download a backup to your PC first. We officially only support the main, stable branch of the game.

Change Release Branch

Log in to Bropanel and Stop your Vintage Story server.

In the sidebar, go to Settings.

Find the Release branch setting.

Select your desired branch:
- stable - The latest stable release
- unstable - Pre-release builds
- pre - Experimental builds

Click Reinstall in the top-right.

Select Format (keep settings), then confirm and wait for the install to finish.

Change Specific Version

Note

Your desired version must be available on your selected release branch.

Change Release version from latest to your desired version (e.g., 1.18.15).
